The Ukraine team that was expected to compete at the WESG 2018 Ukraine Finals has declined the tournament organizer's invitation.
The team formed by Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko, Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev, Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow and Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk, that won last year's WESG 2017 EU & CIS Finals—albeit with Yegor "markeloff" Markelov instead of ANGE1—has pulled out of the Ukraine LAN finals. The news comes as they declined an invite from the tournament organizer despite having announced earlier on that they would team up for this year's edition.
s1mple & co. rejected the invitation to the Ukrainian LAN finals
A team named djakuyu formed by members of Vega Squadron, Spirit, and pro100 has been the only invited team to the LAN as another qualifier has been put in place to decide who will take Ukraine's spot.
The Ukrainian WESG Finals, which will take place on December 21-23 in Kiev, will also have Windigo Academy, the winners of the first qualifier, and two more teams hailing from two qualifiers, making it a 4-team LAN that will see the winner earn a spot in the World Finals.
djakuyu's lineup is:
Igor "crush" Shevchenko Dmitriy "jR" Chervak Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev Ivan "AiyvaN" Semenets Pavel "COLDYY1" Veklenko
